I love eBay...

I just got a package in the mail.... squeee! I ordered some Louisa Harding Fauve in a crimson red and just received the mailer full of 8 balls that cost me only $6.00. Total!!! The label on the ball band says $9.50. Thank you capecodtrader!

So right now, I am swatching to see if I can get gauge to make Amiga. I have two other sweaters on the needles, but I just had to see if I could make a plan for this yarn.

I never think to look on Ebay for yarn. The Amiga pattern is darling...for a woman younger than I! :-) I like the Dorset buttons. Hope you will post photo of what you end up making. You are my inspiration.

That is a killer savings in yarn! Like Patricia, I never think to check Ebay for yarn. I usually just let my fingers wander at the store and choose for me

Amy, I have found a number of sellers who must have been given the task of selling off the supplies from a brick and mortar shop that has closed. Sometimes the deals are just too irresistible! While I too love the tactile experience you get at the LYS, I don't get as overwhelmed when I am eBay browsing... I can check out the yarn and the comments tab in Ravelry and even see if the available yardage will match up with a pattern in mind before I buy. Try surfing on eBay, you might just love it!

Patricia, now girl this is the second time I'm hearing you say a sweater is just too young for you! Please change that mindset. The other sweater was the Wendy Bernard Favorite sweater... such a fun and quick knit, and it doesn't need to ride so low on your shoulders. I wish you were closer, I'd let you try it on and then you'd see it can be timeless. :)

You are a genius at getting great yarns at a discount ... we could all take lessons from you!! And three sweater WIPs? You are a knitting demon (and I love it!).
