Do you want an evening filled with inspiration, wonder and fun? Would you like to find out more about a craft? Come, meet some new people and experience the enthusiasm of creativity.  Join our community of fiber minded friends and delight in an innovative approach to sharing skills, techniques and craftsmanship. Bring a friend and enjoy the energy of Ignite Craft Boston!

The Common Cod Fiber Guild will be sponsoring its third Ignite Craft Boston event. Make plans to venture to MIT next Friday for an evening of exciting and innovative discussions by some talented and crafty people.

The format is this: the speaker has five minutes and uses a PowerPoint display to introduce and explain their craft. In that short span of time, you will see amazing pictures, hear about a variety of crafts, and possibly find a new outlet for your own creativity. This event will include artisans who share their love of knitting, cheese-making,  wildcrafting, and chocolatiering, along with other crafts.

The event is free, but due to limited seating it usually "sells out". Navigate to the bottom of this page and enter your information to get your ticket.

Doors will open at 6:30 PM, the speakers will begin their presentations at 7:00 PM. Refreshments will be served during intermission.  If you'd like to see YouTube videos from the previous Ignite Craft Boston events, click here.

On the following two days, The Common Cod Fiber Guild is sponsoring their Fiber Camp Weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday, January 12 and 13, from 8:30 to 5:00 you can sit in on classes to learn about spinning, various knitting techniques and meet others who share your interests in fiber crafts. There will be vendors, stash swaps of fiber and fabric. Licensed babysitting service will be available for $10.00 per family, no matter how long you plan to stay.

Wish I didn't live a ferry boat ride and major highway away - so jealous. This is a concept any city or town could embrace. Let us know how it goes...
